[:subconscious:] • Primal, playful, childlike • Contains every person we have ever been (your 7th grade self, your current self), every trauma and event we have experienced. • Contains internalized versions of people we spend a lot of time around. That is, when you spend a lot of time around someone, a little replica of them is born in your subconscious. • Untreated trauma often gets stuck in a trauma loop within the subconscious. The subconscious is home to most deep suffering. • A genuine ecosystem of agents • These agents all love you and want to help you, but sometimes try to help in a way that causes pain • For example, perhaps you have a goal to acquire more money, but something is blocking you. You do a [dialogue](dialoguing) and discover that part of your subconscious believes that poverty is a virtue and rich people are inherently evil, and so wanted to hold you back. Its intent was to help you! • There are all these ways that we are making ourselves unhappy, but our subconscious isn’t willing to reveal them until we’re in a situation supportive enough where we can be confident that we will be safe
