"Walk with your bunk"—what does that accomplish? If I am negligent with campers, I will be negligent with my own campers as well.
What it would accomplish is an attention shift. My attention would be on staying with my bunk. This is good because it means I am focused on my kids;
Walking as a camp has always been a clusterfuck, and I think it's ridiculous to try and change that. As a counselor, I will keep an eye on the kids in front of me. As long as counselors are spread through the crowd, that should work fine.
Admittedly, it's not, but I don't think this is the solution.
I was told off for not staying with my campers and was not pleased about it.
