Note to future self
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX I XXXXX messaged XXXX, starting with "hey you". To me, this was playful and fun. But I don't think XXX read it this way; XXX thought it was rude. This is fine—communication has two people, and each has their own valid opinion. The issue was that XXX told me simply that what I said "is rude". It's not; XX found it rude. It is neither rude nor prolite; it is words to be interpreted. I would rather X have said X found it rude. It's all a relative thing.
